Agile Finland Ry is organizing the next Agile Seminar on March 26th from 18:00 to 21:00.
The purpose of this seminar is to bring together IT and business on a forum that facilitates the exchange of ideas and experiences with agile, iterative, and incremental software development methods.

We will hold these seminars infrequently, and therefore ensure high quality, best in class presentations and talks around Agile techniques and thinking. This meeting is a must for anyone with an interest in Agile.
Who should attend and why?
Software delivery professionals involved in the development of and delivery of business critical systems, who are interested in learning more about Agile methods and how they can support rapidly changing business needs. We would also encourage business people with responsibility for initiating software development projects to attend and learn more about extracting business value using Agile software development.

"Lessons learned in test automation" - Markus Hjort
Agile development is about producing high quality software in short cycles. One of the
things we have to do differently is testing. In agile projects we are testing the
software all the time (not just in the end of project). We cannot really depend on manual
testing anymore but instead the main focus is in doing high quality automated testing.
In reality I have seen this is not an easy task to do properly. In this presentation I
will share both my own and my colleagues' experiences from different agile projects. I
will talk about what has worked and what not in the field of test automation.
You have worked on software projects with varying degree of success. What
were the reasons for the success of your last project? What were the reasons for those
that failed? A number of issues contribute to project success - some non-technical in
nature. In this presentation the speakers will share with you practices in a number of
areas including coding, developer attitude, debugging, and feedback. The discussions are
based on the book with the same title as the talk.
In this session you will learn about practices beyond what well know methodologies
prescribe. While we reemphasize some popular practices, we will also discuss other often
overlooked, but important practices - practices that contribute to success of projects.
